About the Role
We are seeking a experienced General Builder to lead and deliver structural and external works across residential/commercial projects including extensions, loft conversions, renovations and new builds.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone confident running small teams while carrying out works to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead small teams on site
• Coordinate daily works and site sequencing
• Ensure projects run safely, efficiently and to programme
• Maintain high quality workmanship standards
• Groundworks, drainage & foundations
• Brickwork & blockwork to wall plate
• Structural steel installation & structural alterations
• Demolition and site preparation
• Roofing structures & timber framing
• Hard & soft landscaping works
• Ensure compliance with drawings and site safety procedures
Essential Requirements
✔ NVQ Level 2 in Construction Trade (Bricklaying, Groundworks, Carpentry or similar)
✔ Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
✔ First Aid at Work (or willingness to obtain)
✔ NPORS or CPCS plant tickets (excavator/dumper/telehandler preferred)
Experience Required
• 5+ years residential/commercial construction experience
• Strong background in structural and external works
• Experience installing steels and structural alterations
• Ability to read drawings and set out works
• Proven ability to lead teams and maintain standards
• Own tools required
